NZを撮り始めてから3年半ちょっと、出版社にアイデアを気に入って頂いてから2年弱。ようやくこのようにして形ができました。2005年11月発売。
NZで発売されるNZ風景写真集としては日本人として初めて。日本で売られている写真集を見ても、NZ風景写真集というものはあまりないので貴重な存在だと思います。
NZに来て気付く雲の形の面白さ。そんな雲と有名な場所のランドマークや景色と絡めてこのように1冊にしました。
雲好きな人、NZ好きな人、それぞれが楽しめる内容となっていると思います。

It has passed about three and half years since I took a photo of NZ (in 2005). It has passed about two years since a publisher Reed liked my idea and photos. At last, I could publish it like this. It was released in November 2005.
This photo collection book of NZ is a first NZ nature one, which was published as a Japanese in NZ. There are not so many books like this even in Japan. So it is a rare one, I think.
When you come to NZ, you will notice that the clouds formations in NZ are interesting. I captured them with a landmark or scenery in each famous place in NZ.
You can enjoy it if you like clouds or NZ!

前作を出してから、次の写真集をすぐに取りかかりたいとは思っていたのですが、出たばかりの写真集が売れなければ無理だということでしばらく待ち状態になりました。
2006年内に発売するにはボチボチ、デッドラインでは？という2月頃に本作品のテーマ「Moods of New Zealand」が出版社側から出され、すぐに取りかかりました。
抽象的なテーマ「ムード」ということで、当初はどうしよう？と思ったのですが、考え方を変え、かつ、開き直ったら次から次へと写真が撮れるようになりました。
今年撮り下ろしの写真、プラス、過去の写真の中から選んだものがここに収められました。
さて、どういう写真が収められているのでしょうか？NZのムードとは？
「何か」を感じ取って頂ければ、これ幸いです。
あと、店頭に並べられてから気付いたこと。
この写真集をもって、日本人として初めて、NZの風景写真集を2冊出した写真家となりました。まだ、誰もなしえなかったことです。

After releasing my last book 'New Zealand LAND OF CLOUDS', I really wanted to start a new project soon. But my publisher stopped me because they had to judge if the book was sold well.
If I released it in 2006, the dead line was so close when it was February. I was in a hurry. Then they gave me a new concept 'Moods of New Zealand' and I could start it at last.
The theme 'Moods' was an abstract one, so I thought what I should do. But I changed my idea and took the offensive. Then I could take the nice photos one after another.
There were some photos I took this year and the others were from my photo libraries.
So what photos will you view there? What is 'Moods' of New Zealand?
