My Hometown 'Himeji city'

@

Maybe most people don't know my hometown where it is.

Do you understand? So you can't say any more, 'I don't know where Himeji city is'. (^_^;)

We have a famous building in Himeji city. It is Himeji castle which is one of the Unesco world heritage place.

We call this castle 'The white egret castle'. Why?

Because this castle looks like a white egret whose wings spread and it is very beautiful white castle.

Japanese castle is different appearance from other countries' castle. This is Japanese original castle which was built by Samurai warrior about 400 years ago.

This castle has never been broken. Even in World War Two.

(Yes, we had an air attack from U.S.A.. But they didn't break these heritage building and something.)

Then you can see a real castle because this is preserved in just the state it was in during Samurai period. The castle which is preserved like this is not so many in Japan.

This is Himeji castle!! Please have a look.

I went to Himeji castle when I returned to Japan to get my new visa. (6 Apr 2001)

At this time, spring had come. Fortunately, I could see Himeji castle and cherry blossoms.

Himeji castle and cherry blossoms, Unum, these are good combination!! Don't you think so?

From the top of this castle. We can see a lot of cherry blossoms in Himeji castle area.

Most Japanese think spring has come when cherry blossoms open.

This tree is seasonal one for Japanese in spring.

In summer, a morning glory, a sunflower and so on.

In fall, scarlet maple leaves.

In winter, we don't have special one. But we have snow.

Do you have tree or flower like this in your country?
